Well if you take away the tents, the mountains, and the campfire, you have the people and the animals. We saw that there was a storm heading in tonight (and for once they were right) so we decided to modify our camping plans with the grandkids. Instead we started the day by making scones for them at Jeremy and Stacy's house, then we loaded them up and headed to the zoo. Jason and Anne and baby Maddi came too. I saw the paddle boats on our way there and knew we had to go there first. It brought back good memories of our own children. It was so hot today it was quite the exercise workout. Daisha was the driver of my paddle boat. Bryton drove papa's and Tucker helped Jas and Anne drive their's. Maddi loved the ducks, but Baby Jilly did not.
The zoo was great. The best monkeys were the grandkids though. I will post pictures tomorrow when we get home. Jas and Anne took the kids back with them and we stayed in the big city. Papa's idea of camping is a nice hotel. We just had a nice dinner and we already did our puzzles and re recupperated from the heat. It's been a great day. Pics tomorrow.
Well I became a statistic this summer. Eating out too much has made me gain back some weight. The husband has spoiled me way too much and we've been eating out too much. I have done some things well this summer though. I have reconnected with cousins and other family members, spent time with friends, and made some trips that were enjoyable and relaxing. I have taken the time to smell the roses and see the sunrises. Now if I can just cut back on the sweets during all this happiness! :D
