Well I became a statistic this summer. Eating out too much has made me gain back some weight. The husband has spoiled me way too much and we've been eating out too much. I have done some things well this summer though. I have reconnected with cousins and other family members, spent time with friends, and made some trips that were enjoyable and relaxing. I have taken the time to smell the roses and see the sunrises. Now if I can just cut back on the sweets during all this happiness! :D

yard work and rodeo
Greg got the stones put around our mounds in the back yard and we weeded our garden here. I picked up some little white picket to go around our garden and found some sunflowers and other purple flowers to plant in a boring spot along the back fence. Greg planted it. We picked up Rellie and Kayson today and they are spending the night. We went and picked Jeremy's three older ones up in the evening and took them with Mandy's boys to the Family Rodeo at my friend's house. What a great time for the kids! They loved it. At first the three older ones were not going to ride the horse, but Rellie was beside himself with excitement about it and said, "I'm riding the horse." Not to be shown up, the three older ones decided if he could do it, they could. And they all did. In fact, Tucker rode the bigger horses.
They all went in the petting zoo and had their faces painted and jumped on the trampoline. Rellie and Bryton played with the metal roping frames, but they forgot to use the ropes. Just liked pulling the horns and making it spin. Rellie heard them announce the pudding eating contest and said, "I want pudding." So I sent him with Greg to try it. He was against older kids. Greg said he did a few licks like the other kids (they were told they couldn't use their hands), then he asked for a spoon. He just wanted to eat it. Loves pudding. Kayson does too so Greg got him some too. They ate too much cotton candy and sno-cones, but they had fun. Jilly is home with an ear infection and baby Maddi was off to a wedding with her parents. Bradley's too little. We love our grandkids.
